Welcome to Tinkers: 18 months - 2 years
Tinkers caters for six children. The staffing ratio in this room is 1:3 Both staff hold qualifications in Child Care.
In order for your child to feel nurtured and valued a key person is allocated. Having a familiar face and building a special relationship with their key worker will give your child continuity. It will also help your child settle.
Tiny Tots take part in a wide range of activities all designed to simulate and help them move on to the next stage of development. Some of the activities your child has access to are:
Sound, Taste and Smell Activities. Bubble Blowing. Fibre Optic Displays. Dressing Up. Musical Interaction. Singing & Dancing. Story Time. Sand Play. Water Play. Painting & Mark Making. Walks. Outdoor Play. Nursery Outings (with your permission). Library Visits (with your permission)
An observation sheet is filled in daily to record nappy changes/times, meal times, bottle feeds, drinks and activities. A copy is given to you to take home at the end of each session. Please feel free to share your comments with us each morning.
A daily activity board is place outside your room, which will hold regular newsletters. Our policies and procedures are placed in the hallway by
