Providence Day Nursery
Providence Day Nursery is a family run business managed by Jane Erlank. Jane is a qualified Teacher and Nursery Nurse who graduated with NVQ 4 and 5 in Nursery Management Jane continually strives for this and as such has successfully obtained the Early Years Professional Status (EYPS).
Jane has 38 years experience working with children between the ages of 0-6 years and as a mother of two herself knows the importance of high quality childcare.
Jane taught in Zambia where she was responsible for the running of a privately owned day nursery. Later Jane moved to Rhodesia/Zimbabwe and ran her own day nursery for 12 years.
Jane spent a further 9 years as Head Mistress of Bulawayo Hebrew English Nursery School. During this period Jane worked closely with the Ministry of Education representing the Nursery School Teachers Association in the capacity of President
Mr John Askew who is a reputable businessman in Kirklees and his sister Mrs Jane Erlank, Manager of Providence Day Nursery, jointly own Providence Day Nursery. During her time in Zimbabwe Jane was also Chairlady of the National Teachers and Day Nursery Association and was involved in monitoring the progress of schools and Day Nurseries the equivalent to OFSTED.
